Bring the Fun to Your Community- NYC DOE VENDORS

We daily work with student groups from around the world and send teaching artists to schools for workshops, residencies, after school and professional development programming.

WHY IMPROV COMEDY?

We focus on spreading the joy and laughter, but simply playing these games (everyone in improv is a game from warm-ups, to short skits and songs, and even full improvised plays / musicals) develops creativity, critical thinking, public speaking, self confidence, self awareness and more.

  • Walter’s #1 Rule: HAVE FUN but never at another’s expense!
  • #1 Rule in Improv: YES AND… Always say yes, then follow up with words and actions that support your team and previous offers.
  • #1 Skill in Comedy: LISTENING!!! Listening with your eyes! Listening with the willingness to change!

Everything else is ego and insecurity, and with those out of the way, we can focus on creating original stories, filled with interesting characters in fantastical locations.

  • IMPROV is Cultural Arts – Music, Theater, Dance, Spoken Word etc
  • IMPROV is Language Arts – Story telling, Creative Writing, etc
  • IMPROV is Community & Leadership
  • Improv is SEL Social Emotional Learning

We use the same games to train corporate team building, leadership, sales and more. Great for Teachers too!

All books are available free via Kindle Unlimited and inexpensive via Amazon Kindle. Some also have paperback, hard cover and or audible editions.
