Did you know that Improv 4 Kids, a division of the New York Improv Theater, has 2 casts of talented artists ready for you next educational / family event!

This month alone our teaching artists offer residencies in two schools as well as school assembly shows and workshops.

  • Interactive musical comedy shows improvised based on your children’s imaginations. Amazing entertainment and pairs well with SEL, Cultural Arts, Language Arts, Literacy, PARP, anti-bully and other programming.
  • Improv Workshops & Residencies teaching valuable life skills through story and play. Cultural arts that teaches community and leadership. We use similar programming to teach corporate team building, leadership, sales etc. Simply playing these games develops self-confidence, creativity, critical thinking, public speaking and more.
  • Professional Development programming teaches the teachers how to utilize improv in the classroom to build focus, creativity and more.

Amelia Fowler, member since 2009, is a native of Brooklyn, New York and proud to have performed in works like “POSE”, GLAAD award winning play “She Like Girls” and her one woman show “Flozetta” performed at HERE as part of the Downtown Urban Theater Festival. Amelia has also been seen in commercial spots for Cablevision, the History Channel, IFC, as well as comedy venues throughout the Northeast with her fellow cast mates of the improv troupes “Comedy Sportz-New York,” and “Eight is Never Enough.” She is also totally psyched about projects she is anxiously awaiting to be released like, “Are You Happy Now” and “The Many Saints of Newark”. https://www.ameliafowler.com/

Liz Lord began her acting career focusing on Shakespeare and classical theater, yet nowadays finds herself pulled toward laughter rather than tears. Embracing her true comedic self, she has been playing with Eight Is Never Enough for a long while now, proving that eight years with this company was not, in fact, enough. As the longtime Education Director, she has taught thousands of students, many of whom have gone on to successful acting careers, and has mentored and managed groups of interns who now serve as her minions. Other favorite roles include: Ghosts (Regina), Hamlet (Ophelia), Chicago (Liz), The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year (She), Love Letters (Melissa), Julius Caesar (Portia), La Ronde (The Actress), The Chimes (Meg), Hoboken (Samantha), and mommy to Madeline Rosa.

Max Feldman is an improviser and musician living in Brooklyn. He performs regularly at the Broadway Comedy Club, Magnet Theater, Caveat, and BCC. Sound design credits include Heartbeat Opera and A.P.E. Ltd. Gallery, and he is the accompanist for the improvised fantasy adventure show The Legend of You. Dewight Braxton Jr is a New York based actor, singer, writer and improviser who originally hails from Detroit Michigan. Dewight spent the past three years touring with the Book of Mormon as General Buck. Dewight studied at Wayne State University where he received his B.A in theatre with a minor in Musical theatre. Prior to this, he received his Engineering degree from Ferris State University.

Ashley Albinus is an actor/improviser from Brooklyn, NY. As a senior at Columbia University, she has led the university’s oldest improv comedy troupe, Fruit Paunch Improv, for the past 3 years. In her time studying abroad in Madrid last spring, she performed with local English-language improv troupe, MAD Improv. Having joined Eight Is Never Enough in July, she is thrilled to continue performing at the Broadway Comedy Club.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ivana Méndez has been acting since she was negative 12 months old. Credits: Off-Broadway- Everything No One Should Know, Press Play. Film/TV: Start-Up (SONY Crackle), Wrecked (TBS), etc. Puerto Rico: High School Musical, Diary of Anne Frank, El Condominio, and other spanish titled plays. Proud member of SAG-AFTRA. With over 30 years of experience in theater, comedy, and television, Walt Frasier is the Artistic Director of Improv Theater LLC, a leading edutainment center known for its high-impact comedy shows and workshops. His extensive career includes performing comedy sketches on MTV’s Stankervision, Late Nite with David Letterman, TruTV’s Friends of the People, and HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay. As an actor, Walt has appeared on NBC’s Blacklist, CBS’s Blue Bloods, USA’s Royal Pains, Netflix’s Lilyhammer, and NICK’s Naked Brothers Band, in addition to numerous commercials, industrials, and live performances worldwide.
