Since 2003, we have offered 7500+ shows for k12 students and family audiences via weekly shows live from Times Square NYC, field trip programs and touring schools, camps, community centers and family events DC to Boston and beyond.

THE SHOW

Every performance features our professional teaching artists creating original skits and songs improvised based on audience suggestions and participation. The show starts with our MC warming up the crowd and introducing the art form. Every 4-5 minutes the MC interacts with the crowd getting suggestions for the next game (everything we do is called a game – skits, songs, interactive tive activities etc). The typical 45-75 minute show includes 2-4 musical numbers – improvised songs (Irish Jig, Blues, March, Hip Hop/Spoken word etc) or even a mock Broadway show. Our signature is inviting kids/teens on stage to directly influence the comedy direction. Over consider a New York OffBroadway Theater version of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY meets Disney or Nickelodeon, fun for all ages.

• Field Trips: We add shows almost daily fornatudent groups from around the world.
• School Tour: Improv IS Social Emotional Learning (SEL). We also pair well with literacy, anti-bully and cultural arts programs. While performing high quality theater and music, we demonstrate story telling, team work, listening, respect, and more.
• Summer Camps: For 20 years Improv 4 Kids / Teens has been a hit at day camps and sleep away camps all over the North East.
• Community Centers: We have fun programs for Libraries, JCC, YMCA, Scouts etc. Also great for parks and recreation events. We have often performed at the town center park, lakeside etc.
• Theaters: Improv 4 Kids is the perfect addition to any family/children’s programming. We have sold out the 800 seat outdoor barn at Wolf Trap, Virginia, filled main stages and smaller venues nationwide. • Family Events: We can turn any venue into a comedy club, including your living room, backyard and building/community common room. Perfect for birthdays, graduation, holiday parties, etc. We have even performed at “Bring your kids to work” days.

The Workshop

Increase educational value exponentially with a workshop. For theater groups, a stand alone workshop can be powerful. For other students we recommend a show/workshop combo to introduce the art form and grab student attention. We have so much fun, students don’t even realize they are learning, developing creativity, critical thinking, public speaking, listening, focus, self-awareness, self-confidence and more. Residencies

Further build your arts program with in school and after school classes. Our teachers drop by for a week or two, OR for weekly sessions. Each 16+ hour program prepare students for a showcase performance. Want to build your arts program? Improv quickly develops a show that features the entire team. We also have Stand-Up Comedy, Sketch Comedy and Theater programs (directing entire Broadway shows.)
