Improv 4 Kids doesn’t simply entertain kids- it engages them. Kids learn and participate in comedy arts through improvisation, music, storytelling, dance, pantomime and theatre. Improv 4 Kids uproarious show channels, inspires and rewards creative energy through interactive comedy – so round up the kids and let the fun begin!

  • 2003 Farmington, CT Schools call Walt Frasier, co -founder of the fledgling NYC Comedy Troupe EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH (Only active since 2002) asking, “Can you do this for kids?” Improv 4 Kids was born with four shows, one each at their k5 schools. Laurice Fattal serves as Executive Producer. Walt Frasier named Artistic Director.
  • 2004 Improv 4 Kids became approved artists for Montgomery County, MD and Fairfax County, VA, expanding their regular touring map.
  • 2005 Improv 4 Kids made it’s off-Broadway debut at the Lambs Theatre in New York City.
  • 2005-2006 Improv 4 Kids calls the World Famous New York Improv (then at 318 west 53rd Street) its home and hosted their first student groups for field trips.
  • 2006-2011 Improv 4 Kids was the official outreach program at the NY Laugh Factory which later became the Times Square Arts Center. During this time becoming NYC DOE Vendors, making their debut at NYC Parks, Featured on ABC news NYC, and began touring beyond the Northeast Corridor as far west as Nebraska. The Long Wharf Theatre CT, Bay Street Theatre at SAG Harbor,  The National Smithsonian DC, Fort Dix Military Base NJ, Ohio National Guard, Wolf Trap in the Park, First Night Winchester, First Night Haddenfeild, Cherry Point Marine Corp, First Night Binghamton.
  • 2011 Improv 4 Kids moves back to 318 West 53rd Street, but now called the Broadway Comedy Club.
  • 2012 Improv 4 Kids offers its first public comedy classes for kids.
  • 2014 Times Square Comedy Camp is born.
  • 2019 Improv 4 Kids partners with Arts Horizons, expanding our outreach programming to even more in school/after school residencies.
  • 2020 Improv 4 Kids moves online during the pandemic. ZOOM Shows, class and camps reach new fans as far as Australia and China.
  • 2021 Improv 4 Kids slowly returns live.

Our Mission:
Improv 4 Kids mission is to entertain, educate and promote laughter to young audiences through cultural creative comedy arts.  In recent years, research studies have show that laughter is known to reduce stress hormones, boost brain power, increase energy and focus in addition to being contagious. Using humor during instruction can even lead to increased test scores.  Whether it’s through our improv workshops or live performances, The benefits of laughter are numerous!
