We are starting to take booking requests for Summer 2021. We expect to be very busy. We are eager to return and deliver the laughs in person in a safe manner. Since 2003 Improv 4 Kids has presented 5000+ shows for k12 and family audiences. Whether entertaining kids at school and camps or delivering the laughs to the whole family through community events, this show will be talked about for years to come. Interactive Comedy Shows for ALL Ages
Our signature show features a series of games – skits and songs improvised on the spot based on audience suggestions and participation.
NOTE: Based in current CDC guides of the time we are prepared to focus on games that adhere to the current social distancing recommendations.
Every 4-5 minute our MC interacts with the entire audience getting ideas for the next scene – vacation spots, fave movies/TV shows/books, other scenarios.
The players (all professional Improv performers from stage and screen) take these suggestions as inspiration to sing a rocking Blues or an Irish jig, alternating with skits featuring silly characters and adventures. Some times we even perform a full mini Broadway show improvised on a single word.
Games like Sounds Effects and Human Mad Libs require two audience volunteers to join the actors on stage supplying sounds and words/phrases that both steer the comedy direction and add extra dimensions to the theater.
When social distancing rules ease we will bring back the popular human slide show. Long before the mannequin challenge on TikTok, Human Slide show featured many audience guests on stage, strike a series of poses, while our “experts” narrated a hysterical historical slide show, or sometimes vacation slides.
Improv Comedy Workshops
Comedy Classes/Workshops are fun yet powerful activities delivering both the laughs and valuable life skills.
Laughter has always been the most important element, but now even more so than ever before.
While working together to create original funny stories and scenes, participants learn Improv performing skills and wisdom that also translate into creative writing, critical thinking, team communications/relations, presentation skills and self confidence.
We use these same games to teach corporate groups team building, leadership, sales and customer service.
